Pedalay the Boss”A lyricist is defined as a person who puts poetic lines to a musical piece. Anyone can make music, but not everyone can be a true lyricist. Born (April 8th) in the late 80s in Southeast San Diego, James "Pedalay" Robinson, exclaims to have seen too much in such a short time. "The ups & downs, struggles & politics are where all my pain comes from. Then I turn the pain into energy, then the energy into music". From being a high school dropout at 17 to becoming a father and having to start real life shortly after that, it seems that Pedalay has definitely seen his share of struggle. Needless to say, the struggle, for this young entrepreneur, is nowhere close to an end.

Mack CityBorn in San Diego (South East), Ca in late 1985, Mack City grew up the middle child. “My music is life driven. I rap about my experiences and things that actually take place in my life. I’ve been thru a lot since a young age so I have a lot I can talk about. I try to take make music that people can actually relate to it. It’s for anyone that can relate to any experience, any emotion or story.” Mack City is from a place where you really only had two options growing up . “You was either a banger, or you played ball”. Mack City did both until he graduated and joined the Military. In 2007 after recording over 200 tracks with various artists, Mack City released his first mix tape, titled Last of a Dying Breed with Bigg Cujo and a few other artists. Long time friend Pedalay the Boss approached Mack City with a Vice President position in Smoke Break Records. After considering his goals and everything he wanted to accomplish...he accepted! "Eventually I want to be able to give back to my community. I have always wanted to build a park or sponsor a Pop Warner football team or something” Mack City's musical influences include Mac Dre, Tupac, Ludacris, Oliver Reese, and a lot of other Local San Diego artist. "I’m going to do it big like my idol Mac Dre!"

K.B.Tha KB Project aka K.B. is from the heart of South East San Diego. He makes influential and inspirational music for a wide range of people to enjoy. He's been making music since 1999 and dropped his first album "I'm That Dude" in June 2010, which he dedicated to his mother Suzie. The album gives the listener a glimpse of a life in South East coupled with humor, hope,sorrow and dreams. He continues to make music because he enjoys the artistic expression and the positive feedback from the people in the streets. He loves working with unknown artists and producers and is able to create the unique sound and style he is known for. He looks forward to working with established artists and producers and incorporating his sound and style with theirs.

Bigg CujoNot your typical southern Mc. From Goldsboro, NC and is very well traveled. Cujo grew up in Omaha Nebraska and is well connected to the streets. "I know whre I'm from and not ahsamed but I never limit myself." Born Dec. 31 1981, at 28, "I find myself more dedicated to music everyday". His influences range from Snoop, Jay-Z, Pac, Big, Nas, and many more. "In my opinion it's like the NBA or NFL, you have to respect anybody before they make it". Cujo's style is more laid back, but at times he can get like a dog off the chain, hence his name "Cujo". He has been rapping all of his life but feels that he has been more public with it in the last 5 years. Cujo also has 2 degrees and even went to NC A&T the same time as Terrence J from BET. Cujo admits that even though he didn't know him that well, Terrence J threw the best parties! Cujo says that his wife and his daughter are his inspiration to continue on his mission everyday.
